Sdgs activities in the dormitory

Iwata Gakuen has a student cafeteria called dormitory.
It is called dormitory food because dormitory students eat in the same place. Dormitory meals are also available for commuter students upon request.
There are many popular menus. They have a wide variety of dishes, from set meals to noodles.
Ramen is especially popular.
Therefore, as a one-day limited menu, we thought of "Healthy Shizuku Ramen" for dormitory meals.
I was wondering if you could give it to me. Have students and teachers at school eat it,
I thought it would be an opportunity for everyone to think about food, listening to their impressions and receiving advice for improvement.






We asked the teacher if it would be possible to request our recipes from the dormitory.
At first, I was told that it would be difficult to reflect your recipes in consideration of cost and hygiene.
However, why don't you check with the staff of Yamauchi Foods, where the teacher prepares the dormitory meals?
It was said. When she confirmed it, she said, "I'm sure you'll get an OK. I'll check with the headquarters."
I was told. I felt like I was one step closer to the goal, and the whole team was happy with each other.



We were able to search for recipes on the internet and consult with the team to decide.
I have never learned how to calculate nutritional values in class. So I asked my home economics teacher to teach me how to do the math.



I'm going to have a look at the recipe and consider it.




The results were dire.
I knew that it would be difficult for the dormitory to handle recipes as SDGs activities.
It was a pity. However, I am grateful to Yamauchi Foods for taking the time to consider it.
Also, I appreciate your ideas. I didn't want to give up until the end, but speed is important for dormitory meals.
Hearing that it was important, I was convinced that our recipe, which takes a long time to make, was not suitable for us.
I would like to consider the fact that it saves time when reviewing recipes.
